Do you charge for delivery?

Yes, we do. For all UK orders there is a standard flat-rate charge of £3.95 per order but may vary depending on the type of product in the basket (e.g Musical Instruments @ £10.45). In some instances we are able to offer a choice of delivery (e.g. express service). In some cases there will be no charge for delivery.  For those products where there are specific delivery requirements (e.g. delivery of a piano to non-ground floor premises) a further charge may be incurred.

Where possible we will despatch any items readily available from stock and forward the outstanding items when they become available at no extra cost (only applicable to UK customers). However, if this not possible we will inform you of any change.

For orders outside of the UK , the delivery charge will be based on the overall weight of the products in the basket and country of destination.

What happens if I am not at home to receive the delivery?

If you are not at home when our delivery agent attempts the delivery, they will leave a note with instructions on how to rearrange the delivery for a suitable time.

Do you ship products anywhere in the world?

Yes for most products and most countries.  Please note that Yamaha products cannot be sold and delivered to addresses outside the U.K. and the European Economic Area.

Are the Yamaha products you sell suited to countries where the electricity voltage differs from the U.K.?

All Yamaha products that we sell are built to a European specification.

Chappell of Bond Street and the WEEE Directive

WEEE SymbolIf you own a musical instrument or associated product with this symbol attached, it is covered by the WEEE (Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment) Directive.

The retailer who sold you this product, and the manufacturer who made and distributed the goods have a responsibility to contribute towards treatment and recycling of all product carrying this symbol once it becomes no longer wanted, or life-expired.

Chappell of Bond Street, as a retailer of Musical Instruments, are responsible under category 4 (Electronic and Electrical Equipment – EEE) to contribute to the existing network of Designated Collection Facilities (DCF), enabling customers to dispose of their WEEE products free of any charge, so these products can be recycled and dealt with by ecologically friendly methods. To make this contribution, Chappell has joined the Government approved Distributor Take-Back Scheme (DTS), maintained by Valpak.

Our commitment under the DTS scheme enables us to ask you, the consumer, to dispose of your unwanted musical instrument which falls into category 4 via a DCF site administered by Valpak in your local area. These facilities became fully operation from July 1st 2007.

Correct disposal and recycling are absolutely vital to preserve the planet’s resources and maintain the health of those who live there. All WEEE product can accelerate environmental decline if not treated by the correct methods, so Chappell ask you, the consumer, to consider the above facts and ensure all WEEE you volunteer for recycling is taken to designated local centres which operate licensed WEEE compliance schemes.

You can find the nearest depot to your home by clicking on the link below, and entering your postcode:

http://www.recycle-more.co.uk/banklocator/banklocator.aspx

Of course, if the instrument you own could be repaired and re-used, and you do not wish to dispose of it, then other methods exist of pro-longing the instruments lifespan, for instance by donating it to a charitable organisation.

Thank you for your consideration of this important matter.
