Please join us for our seventh series of Lunchtime Music at our Wardour Street store on Thursday September 24th at 1pm where we feature Ana Peletsis, currently studying at the Royal College of Music.
 
Providing a wonderful opportunity for highly gifted young artists to perform at an excellent venue on superb instruments, Chappell of Bond Street and Yamaha offer our customers a unique insight into the extraordinary wealth of talent being nurtured in our conservatoires.

The Artist:
 
Ana Peletsis - was born in Moscow and studied at the Tchaikovsky Conservatoire with Professor Sergei Dorensky, graduating with Distinction.
 
Anna has won several prizes, notably at the Grand Konzerteum International Piano Competition in Greece in 2005 and the ‘Nikolai Rubinstein’ International Piano Competition in Paris, 2004. She has participated in several masterclasses, including masterclasses of French music with Chantal Stigliani in Paris and classes at the summer school José Iturbi in Valencia with Joaquin Soriano. Anna completed her Masters Degree in Music (piano) at the Royal College of Music, graduating with Distinction in 2008. She is currently studying on an Artist Diploma Course at the RCM with Dmitri Alexeev, and has recently participated in a masterclass with Martin Roscoe.
 
In 2007 Anna was a winner of the RCM Concerto Competition, leading to a performance with the RCM orchestra, and has recently won the Harding International Piano Competition, the Bromsgrove Festival International Young Musicians Platform 2008 and the International Piano Competition ‘Flame’ in Paris, May 2009. Her concert career includes solo recitals in Germany, France, the USA and throughout Russia and recent concert appearances include recitals at the National Gallery and a participation in the ‘Rising Stars’ RCM concert series at Cadogan Hall in London.

This performance is free of charge and will take place in the Recital Room of Yamaha Artist Services Europe (London), situated within the historic Piano Hall at Chappell of Bond Street’s West End store.  The recital will commence at 1pm.
