The Artist:
Veneta Neynska - Born in 1983, Veneta started playing the piano at the age of five. It became apparent that she possesses an extraordinary musicality and a captivating artistic presence ever since her first solo appearances. She was accepted at the National Music School in Sofia, Bulgaria, where she graduated in 2002 with the highest honours – a National Diploma.
As a student, the pianist has participated successfully in a number of international competitions, where she won the Second Prize in Ibiza, Spain (1999), the Third Prize at the “SEILER" Competition in Sofia, Bulgaria (2001), the First Prize at the 7th International Piano Competition in Larnaca, Cyprus, and others. She has worked with Liubov Shisheva and Gina Tabakova, and also has participated in master classes of Alexei Nasedkin, Marcella Crudelli, Tomislav Baynov, Valdemar Voital, Maria-Elene Fernandes, Tamara Podubnaia, among others. Veneta continued her education in the Music Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Meanwhile, a turning point in her development was her meeting with the world renowned piano teacher Professor John Perry, who invited her to join his studio. In 2004 Veneta began her undergraduate studies as a scholarship student at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. She received her Bachelor of Music Degree with the distinction cum laude.  Professor Perry describes her as a very musical, intelligent and profound pianist, with a continuously developing talent. Under his guidance, Veneta has developed her interpretational and performing skills to a very high level.  She was admitted as a full-scholarship student at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, United Kingdom, where she is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in the studio of Professor Joan Havill. Her latest successes include the Beethoven Prize from the Guildhall School (February, 2008), Second Prize at the Christopher Duke Competition in Watford, United Kingdom (April, 2008) and the Third and the Audience Prizes at the Beethoven Intercollegiate Piano Competition (November, 2009).
